Passive voice in Spanish explained with a quick example

John F Kennedy fue asesinado” is a sentence written in Passive voice (voz pasiva). Here, we don’t really know who did it, maybe cause it’s unknown, or hidden, not important enough to specify it, or omitted as it´s considered obvious, since what matters most is the action itself.

In “voz pasiva”, The verb “ser” is the keyword, and it matches the person/thing receiving the action (JFK is third person, singular.) The verb “ser” adapts itself to the tense used (JFK es asesinado, JFK fue asesinado, JFK ha sidoasesinado, etc.)
